Weston concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law, land use and zoning, and general commercial litigation and is a member of the firm’s Municipal & School Group.
Prior to joining Tucker Arensberg, Weston was an associate in an established suburban law firm. In his career, he has worked closely with the solicitors of municipalities and public agencies and has advised public clients on matters governed by the Sunshine Act, Right-to-Know Law, PA Heart & Lung Act, and Police Tenure Act. Weston also has significant litigation experience at both the trial court and appellate court levels. He has successfully argued motions in the Court of Common Pleas and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, represented clients at hearings concerning a variety of issues, and won a verdict as lead counsel in a bench trial. He has also aided in the defense of the City of Pittsburgh and the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Duquesne in high-profile cases. Weston’s service to public clients is informed in part by his experience representing private individuals, including in tax assessment, land use and zoning, real estate, and personal injury matters.
In his current practice, he assists the firm’s municipal and school clients on a broad array of legal issues, including ordinance and policy drafting, tax assessment appeals, zoning and land use approvals, and general litigation matters.
