After graduating from Duquesne University School of Law, Patrick served as a law clerk for The Honorable William S. Stickman IV. During his time as a federal law clerk, Patrick gained invaluable hands-on experience working “behind-the-scenes,” while advising and drafting various legal opinions and memoranda. Patrick used his law clerk experience as a catalyst to assist him in understanding the inner workings of federal procedure. Patrick handled primarily civil cases with an emphasis on employment and ERISA matters, which allowed him to refine his legal skills in those respective areas. Patrick uses his exceptional research and writing skills to develop case strategies to bring his client’s cases to success. Prior to his clerkship, Patrick interned at a small Pittsburgh based firm focused on real estate and construction litigation as well as business law and formation.
Inherently focused and driven, Patrick worked two jobs while attending law school which included his internship and externship while also volunteering his time at Duquesne University School of Law’s Wills and Healthcare Directives Clinic where he assisted clients in need with will preparation and other advance health care directives. Client-focused communication, problem solving, and reliability are just a few of Patrick’s greatest strengths. Patrick does not rely on his legal know-how alone when working with clients in reaching their goals, but rather utilizes hard work and a steadfast determination, along with his outstanding client service skills, to work toward a positive outcome.
The same attributes that have anchored over a century of success are still our guiding principles today.
