She also works with plan administrators, participants, and their legal counsel to review Domestic Relations Orders for qualifications under ERISA and to recover overpaid plan benefits.
Denise also prepares updates for trustees and plan administrators on legislative compliance for ERISA claims, the Affordable Care Act, COBRA coverage, the SECURE Act 2.0, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 Surprise Billing and Transparency Requirements, and DOL Cybersecurity Best Practices. Additionally, she has experience in drafting and opposing federal court motions, drafting plan documents and trust agreements, and counseling on complex areas of data privacy.
