Retired Bankruptcy Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald Provides a Supplemental Report to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on “Abusing Chapter 11: Corporate Efforts to Side-Step Accountability Through Bankruptcy”

In early February, retired Bankruptcy Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald testified before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on possible abuses of the bankruptcy system through the use of the ‘Texas Two-Step’. On April 6, Judge Fitzgerald provided a supplemental report to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on “Abusing Chapter 11: Corporate Efforts to Side-Step Accountability Through Bankruptcy”. Judge Fitzgerald was asked to provide answers to additional questions that were not asked during the hearing and she submitted her testimony at the request of Senator Thom Tillis.
