Tucker Arensberg, P.C., one of the premier law firms in Pittsburgh with offices in Harrisburg and New York, is pleased to announce that Irving S. Firman has been elected to replace Thomas P. Peterson as Managing Shareholder effective September 1, 2020. Peterson has served as Managing Shareholder since 2009, and will be returning to the full time practice of law focusing on corporate, merger and acquisition, and education law.
“I have had the great pleasure of working with Irv for nearly twenty years” said Peterson. “Not only is he an outstanding attorney who puts his clients’ needs first, but he is a skilled leader who will guide the firm to greater success.”
“Tom has provided the firm with outstanding leadership for over ten years, and we thank him for his service to the firm” said Firman. “It is an honor to serve as managing shareholder to such a well-established commercial law firm with over 100 years of history. I hope to continue the work that Tom has started as we head into a time of strategic growth and a continued focus on client service.”
Firman concentrates his practice on land use, zoning and real estate development. Irv received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. He has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America®, in the area of Land Use and Zoning Law. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the National Association of Industrial and Office Property (NAIOP).
