David J. Mongillo has been appointed Secretary of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the ALS Association. ALS is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that attacks motor neurons located in the brain and spinal cord causing muscle degeneration throughout the body. Life expectancy after diagnosis is 2-5 years. The Chapter’s mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. David has a personal connection with ALS through the loss of his father.
David advises municipalities and school districts on a diverse range of issues. David has also handled a variety of litigation matters involving complex commercial transactions, large scale construction disputes, zoning, real estate, energy and employment and labor issues. He has also represented a variety of clients facing environmental challenges in the acquisition or sale of real estate.
David received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of law, cum laude, his master’s degree from George Washington University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
