The law firm of Tucker Arensberg, P.C. is pleased to announce that Kristin A. Biedinger was selected to join the Board of Directors for the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). HIMSS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and access, through the best use of information technology and management systems. The local Chapter provides a local forum to discuss new issues and developments, learn about new methods and tools, and network with others with similar experiences. Kristin joins attorney Mike Cassidy, Chair of the Business Division at Tucker Arensberg who is currently serving as Treasurer.
Kristin’s practice includes all areas of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. She counsels clients on matters such as: Patent and trademark prosecution; Intellectual property issues in marketing and branding; Intellectual property audits and valuation; Implementing policies and procedures for the identification and protection of trade secrets; and Assessing intellectual property issues relating to government contracts, including the preparation of data rights assertions, software licenses, and subject invention reports. Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in Biological Sciences.
