TUCKER ARENSBERG ATTORNEY RECEIVES TECHNOLOGY LAW AWARD

PITTSBURGH, PA -  Steven B. Silverman, a Shareholder with the law firm Tucker Arensberg, P.C., received the Champion of Technology award at the Vestige Digital 2007 ESI (Electronically Stored Information) Awards Gala on December 1, 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio. 

The award was presented to individuals in the legal community who have championed the use of Electronically Stored Information which were selected by a panel of five judges comprised of lawyers and a law school professor who are leaders in the technology law area from across the country.

Steve is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation Department and co-chairs the Technology Law/Intellectual Property Practice Group.   Steve handles business disputes involving such areas as trade secret theft and restrictive employment covenants, particularly in the context of the computer, software and high technology industries. Steve also advises corporations and individuals on various employment matters.  Steve’s technology practice encompasses counseling a diverse array of clients ranging from software developers and consultants to web hosting companies.  Steve has handled matters involving internet advertising claims, copyright infringements, licensing and various e-commerce issues.  Steve has also written and lectured on these topics for many groups.

He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the Information Technology Law category and named a 2006 and 2007 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the Civil Litigation Defense Category.
