The Summer Associate Hiring Process:
Although there are no set criteria you must meet to qualify for a position at
Tucker Arensberg, we pursue candidates with impressive academic credentials,
character, attitude, energy, and non-academic interests. We look for a combination of law
school performance, undergraduate
achievement and law review participation.
We recruit our summer associates during on-campus interviews in September or
October and via unsolicited resumes and referrals from our own lawyers.

The Summer Associate
Work Life:
Summer
associates have an attorney mentor assigned to assist them.
Our summer associates work on a wide variety of projects, including research,
writing agreements, pleadings and briefs and observing depositions, closings,
client meetings, arbitrations, and, if scheduling permits, an actual trial .
Summer associates are evaluated by the lawyers who give them work
assignments. They have an exit interview at the end of the summer conducted by a
practice group head and the shareholder in charge of the program, at which time
the evaluations completed by lawyers are reviewed.
