Evan C. Pappas

Evan is a shareholder in the Litigation, Intellectual Property, Alcoholic Beverages/Liquor Licensing and Hospitality Groups.  He represents a wide variety of businesses including mortgage companies, financial institutions, title companies, real estate developers, manufacturers, automotive dealers,  restaurants and liquor licensees in a wide variety of business development and transactional matters, as well as commercial disputes.  Evan most recently practiced with a well-known firm in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Evan regularly advises businesses and individuals on civil litigation and risk mitigation strategies and has successfully prosecuted numerous trials and hearings in multiple tribunals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  He represents clients through all stages of litigation including pretrial and discovery proceedings, trials, mediation and arbitration, bankruptcy, appeals, and administrative proceedings.

Evan also advises clients on intellectual property matters including trademarks, service marks, copyrights, licensing and infringement. He assists clients to identify their creative and branding related assets and develops strategies to protect those assets.  Evan’s intellectual property representation includes drafting and filing of trademark applications, responses to USPTO Office Actions and prosecution and defense of trademark objection proceedings.

His practice also includes representation of liquor licensees with regard to liquor license citations, as well as transfer and renewal hearings before the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.  Representative liquor licensee clients includes restaurants, breweries, wineries, music venues, hotels, management companies and taverns.

Education and Background: Evan his Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University. He received his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, where he was a national competitor on the Moot Court Honor Society, member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and served on the Executive Board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.

Memberships and Activities:  Evan currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Clean Air Council and Crime Stoppers of Dauphin County.
