Carolyn A.W. Whitworth

Carolyn is a shareholder and member of Tucker Arensberg’s Investment Management and Fiduciary Services Practice Group and the Estates and Trusts Practice Group.  She represents individuals, financial institutions (including banks, investment advisors, brokers, and mutual funds), and individual and corporate fiduciaries.  She advises clients on fiduciary compliance, Prudent Investor Rule compliance, statutory and regulatory issues, banking compliance, risk management, as well as estate planning and administration, uniform trust code matters, business succession planning, and trust planning for retirement assets.

Articles and Presentations: Carolyn has written articles and given presentations on various topics, including general estate planning, the Federal estate tax, special asset trust administration, retirement asset planning, and the Pennsylvania Principal and Income Act.

Memberships and Activities: Carolyn is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh.

Jurisdictions:  Carolyn is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Education and Background: Carolyn graduated summa cum laude from Bridgewater College with a B.A. degree in Economics and Business Administration; she received her law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary.
