Michael J. Stauber
Michael J. Stauber is an attorney in the firm’s Insolvency and Creditors' Rights
Department. His practice is focused primarily in the areas of bankruptcy,
workout, insolvency, and representing creditors. Michael regularly represents
clients before state and federal courts.
Before joining the firm, Michael worked as a legal administrator for a large
national bank handling mortgage servicing and origination issues in the areas of
bankruptcy, foreclosure, collateral evaluation, loss mitigation, REO and
recovery. In this capacity, Michael had regular dealings with the Office of the
Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Attorney General’s office and other
regulatory agencies. Michael has significant experience with state and federal
regulations relating to servicing/origination of residential mortgages.
Michael graduated from Gannon University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and
received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar
Association and the American Bar Association.
Michael is admitted to practice in all state courts in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the Western
District of Pennsylvania.
