

Brett A. Solomon
Brett, a shareholder in the firm's Insolvency and
Creditor's Rights Group, concentrates his practice in the areas of creditors'
rights and insolvency, loan workout and restructuring and landlord/tenant
matters.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Brett has represented a
wide variety of clients including national financial institutions, alternative
mortgage lenders in secondary market transactions, loan servicing institutions,
corporations, commercial landlords and tenants and individuals. Examples of
issues handled by Brett include:

Representation of financial institutions in commercial loan workouts
and restructuring

Representation of financial institutions and landlords in commercial and
residential bankruptcies

Representation of financial institutions,
alternative mortgage lenders,
secondary mortgage lenders in commercial and residential foreclosures
throughout the State of Pennsylvania

Representation of buyers and sellers involving commercial, residential
and industrial properties
·
Representation of commercial landlords and tenants in negotiations of
commercial, office and industrial leases and protection of landlord and
tenants rights and interests in bankruptcy, collection and eviction
matters
EDUCATION
Brett graduated from the
University of Maryland in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration and a minor in Economics.
Brett received his Juris
Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1999.
BAR ADMISSIONS
Brett is admitted to
practice in all state courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State
of Maryland as well as the United States District Court for the Western District
of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of
Michigan.
COMMUNITY AND
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Brett is an active member
of the Allegheny County Bar Association where he serves as a Council Member for
the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section as well as the Chairman of the 2008
Bench Bar Conference.
Brett is a member of the
Pennsylvania Bar Association where he serves as a Council Member for the Real
Property Section.
Brett is a Vice President
on the Board of the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Pittsburgh and on the Board
for the Brotherhood of Rodef Shalom Congregation
