Daniel J. Perry
Daniel J. Perry, a shareholder in
the firm's Business and Finance Department, concentrates his practice in
commercial/corporate finance transactions. He is a member of the firm's
Financial Institutions Practice.
Dan's representation involves issues concerning unsecured and secured commercial
loans, term and revolving credit facilities, lease financing, limited and
nonrecourse loans, affiliate guaranties, and tax-exempt obligations, including
both anticipation notes and general obligation bonds. The asset-based loans have
been secured by a wide range of collateral types, including mortgages of real
property and leasehold interests, pledges of stock, partnership interests and
escrow accounts, and security interests in accounts, inventory, equipment and
other tangible and intangible personal property.
He is also involved in acquisition financing transactions, including both the
documentation and closing of the loan transactions and the performance and
supervision of the due diligence review.
Dan advises financial institutions on a broad range of legal issues that
regularly arise in the course of their operations, including regulatory
compliance, bank management issues and ongoing reporting requirements.
Dan has served as Bond Counsel for various corporate and municipal financings.
He is a recognized bond attorney listed in the Bond Buyer’s Municipal
Marketplace and was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in
America® 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 in the Project Finance Law and Structured Finance Law categories. He is also a member of
the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
Dan graduated magna cum laude from Allegheny College and received his J.D. from
the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served on the Law Review.
He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and the U.S.
District court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
