Barry K. Nelson

Barry K. Nelson is an attorney in the Business and Finance Department. Barry concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and business matters.

Barry's corporate and business practice includes the representation of corporate clients ranging from small privately held companies to international corporations with over $2 billion in annual sales. He has worked extensively in a wide variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, and general contracts. He has experience in the documentation and negotiation of distributorship relationships on both a national and international scope. This representation has included distributor arrangements involving both branded and private labeled products.

Barry graduated form Allegheny College in 1998, with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. While at Allegheny College he was a three-time recipient of the Alden Scholar Award. He joined Tucker Arensberg after graduating, cum laude, from the Duquesne University School of Law, in May 2001, where he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. While at Duquesne, Barry externed for Justice Ralph Cappy of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Barry is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and also a member of the Pittsburgh Regional Advisory Group of the not-for-profit organization EconomincsPennsylvania.
