Mr. Manning, shareholder with the
firm, has represented businesses and individuals for over thirty years in
transactional and business law matters including mergers, acquisitions and
divestitures, real estate and estates and trusts issues.
Ralph represents businesses of various sizes and types, from start-up to Fortune
100 firms. He is a cost-effective negotiator, problem solver and legal advisor
for a wide range of business and personal legal matters. Ralph has participated
in many merger, acquisition and sale transactions and has extensive experience
representing either the acquiring or the acquired party in many U.S. and foreign
jurisdictions on five continents.
Ralph is very active in many regional and community organizations including
Director of The Regional Development Funding Corporation, Director and Past
Chairman of All of Us Inc. d/b/a Caring Habits, Director and Past Chairman of
Three Rivers Center for Independent Living, Inc., Past-President of the Rotary
Club of Pittsburgh, Director of CEO Forum of Pittsburgh, Association of
Corporate Growth, and Pittsburgh Technology Council.
Ralph is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh XII and a former facilitator of the
Entrepreneurial Fellows Program at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Business
School. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in
America® 2005 and 2008 in the Intellectual Property Law category. He was also named a
Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2006 in the Business/Corporate Law Category.
Ralph is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut. He
received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1973, his
M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1969 and his B.S. in chemical
engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1967. Prior to joining Tucker
Arensberg, Ralph was a Partner at another Pittsburgh law firm and previously
served as general counsel and an officer of Allied-Signal, Inc., Echlin Inc. and
Eltra Corporation. Ralph is a shareholder in the firm's Business and Finance
Department.
