William
T. Harvey
Mr. Harvey, a
shareholder with the firm, has focused his practice for the past 20 years on
business law. He advises business owners on planning matters, including
business startups and corporate mergers and acquisitions, and counsels
private and public companies on federal and state securities regulation,
including private and public offerings of debt and equity securities.
Much of Bill's practice
focuses on advising clients in the healthcare industry.
Bill advises individual
health care practitioners and institutions in areas related to the purchase and
sale of physician practices, integration of health care professionals and
managed care related issues. He has helped complete the unwinding of a hospital
merger, and provides ongoing advice to health care clients on how to handle
issues of anti-trust, fraud and abuse, corporate practice and abuse and
corporate practice of medicine reimbursement.
Bill graduated from Yale
University, then obtained a Masters Degree from
Duquesne
University.
Bill graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1978. He has
been admitted to practice law before the
Pennsylvania
courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and
U.S. Tax Court.
