William
T. Harvey
Mr. Harvey, a shareholder in the Business and Estates Group, concentrates his practice
in the areas of business law, health care law, securities, estate planning
and estate and trust administration.
Bill advises business owners and professionals on planning matters, including business
startups and corporate mergers and acquisitions, and counsels private and public companies
on federal and state securities regulation, including private and public offerings of debt
and equity securities. Bill also assists clients in structuring and
restructuring businesses to address estate and business succession planning
goals.
Bill has also advised individual health care practitioners and institutions primarily
in areas related to the purchase and sale of physician practices, integration of health
care professionals, networks of health care professionals and managed care related issues.
He has helped form numerous networks of independent health professionals. He provides
ongoing advice to health care clients on how to handle anti-trust, fraud and abuse,
corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement policies, tort liability, and other legal
and regulatory issues.
Bill graduated from Yale University with a Degree in American Studies, and received a
Masters in Teaching from Duquesne University. Bill is a 1978 graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh School of Law. He has been admitted to practice law before the Pennsylvania
courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and U.S. Tax
Court.
