Stephen Ross Green
Ross Green is an of counsel
attorney in the firm's Business and Finance Department. His areas of
interest include financial institution law and intellectual property law.
Ross has represented banks and small businesses for most of his career and
was an instructor for a chapter of the American Institute of Banking. He was
in-house counsel for a bank for twenty years and simultaneously served as
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has provided
counsel in the areas of regulatory compliance, loan origination and
documentation, deposit operations, and loan review. In addition to his legal
responsibilities, he routinely coordinated bank examinations by state and
federal regulators and exercised secured and unsecured lending authority,
managing a portfolio of commercial loans in various industry
classifications. Two of his loan customers were among the first to
participate in a pilot revolving line of credit program sponsored by the
Small Business Administration.
Ross has advised and represented vendors and suppliers to the thermoplastics
industry as well as other businesses in intellectual property matters, and
has obtained patents in the mechanical arts in the United States, Japan,
Canada, and Europe.
Ross graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1970 with a degree of
Bachelor of Science in Aero-Space Engineering, and earned his law degree
from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. He is admitted to practice before
the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the
Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, and the
United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is currently a member of the
Board of Directors of the Butler County Industrial Development Authority and
the Butler County Development Corporation, and is a member of the American
Intellectual Property Law Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots
Association.
