Richard
W. Cramer
Mr. Cramer is a shareholder in the
firm's Business and Estates Department. His practice is concentrated
in the health care area where he represents physicians,
dentists, physical therapists, hospitals, long term care
facilities and other health care providers.
He advises clients on contractual,
structural, tax, financing, and employee benefits
issues. He also counsels clients on the buying and
selling of professional practices and the admission and
withdrawal of professional partners. Rick is experienced
in the negotiation and documentation of health care
agreements, including professional services,
provider, joint venture, employment and
buy-sell agreements. In addition, Rick works with
clients on third party payor reimbursement issues (Blue
Cross/Blue
Shield), Medicare and Medicaid fraud
and abuse issues, managed care issues, and related
health care matters.
Rick is a member of the
Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations and
is recognized as bond counsel in the Bond Buyer’s
Municipal Marketplace and a member of the National
Association of Bond Lawyers.
He received his B.A. from
Washington and Jefferson College in 1976 and his J.D.
from Duquesne University School of Law in 1979.
