Christopher W. Cahillane
Christopher W.
Cahillane, a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation Department, concentrates
his practice in the areas of commercial, zoning and land use, and general
defense litigation.
Chris has successfully represented both individuals and businesses in numerous
commercial disputes, including matters involving the theft of trade secrets,
violations of restrictive covenants and employment agreements, securities fraud,
and partnership/shareholder disputes. He has also represented both land owners
and municipal bodies in the enforcement of zoning ordinances and regulations
before both local Zoning Hearing Boards and in Pennsylvania courts.
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and his law degree from
the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to entering
law school, Chris served as a legislative assistant to two mid-western Members
of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Chris is a
member of the Pennsylvania Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United
States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. He
is also a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Chris was named a 2005, 2006 and 2007 Pennsylvania "Rising Star" by Philadelphia Magazine and
Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine - a distinction granted to only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania's lawyers.
Chris is a resident of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, where he was appointed by its
Commissioners to serve as a member of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library's Board of
Trustees. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Board.
