Nawshin A. Ali
Nawshin
A. Ali is an attorney in the firm's Business and Finance Department and
concentrates her practice in commercial and corporate finance transactions. She
represents banks and lenders in credit accommodations, including secured and
unsecured loans, term and revolving credit facilities and asset based lending.
Prior to joining Tucker Arensberg, Nawshin practiced in the area of oil and gas
law. She also has experience in civil rights advocacy, defending immigrants and
minorities, and international experience, representing victims of domestic
violence in Bangladesh.
Nawshin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and
Economics, Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. She received
her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, with a
certificate in International and Comparative Law, and a master's degree in
International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of
Public and International Affairs in 2006. While in law school, she served as
chairperson of the Moot Court Board and received the Judge Genevieve Blatt
Memorial Award for Women in Law and Political Science and the Dean's Scholarship and
Community Service Award. She is a member of Sigma Iota Rho, an international
affairs honor society.
Nawshin is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts. She is a
member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Association.
