Tucker Arensberg, P.C. is pleased to announce that the Honorable Timothy S. Searer has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Judge Searer served as President Judge for the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas from 1994 – 2013.
In his new role, Searer will help expand the firm’s mediation and arbitration practice, focusing on a variety of cases including disputes between businesses and government agencies including those that could be decided in all divisions of the Common Pleas Courts: Civil, Family and Orphans’ Court. Additionally, he will be available to handle a wide variety of other legal services.
While on the bench, Searer demonstrated his knowledge of established legal principles and procedures. His ability to interpret and apply them to specific factual situations is well documented. His appellate record on the small percentage of decisions from which appeals had been taken is excellent.
“Judge Searer brings a tremendous amount of knowledge from his experience working with individuals and businesses in the Common Pleas court system for 20 years,” said Thomas P. Peterson, the managing shareholder of Tucker Arensberg. “His perspective as a judge will be of great value to those seeking alternative dispute resolutions to any type of legal issue.”
Before going behind the bench, Searer served as the Mifflin County District Attorney and prior to that, the Mifflin County Solicitor.
