Tucker Arensberg was honored for its pro bono contributions to the community at the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s 2013 Fellows Dinner on September 17, 2013.  “Pro Bono” refers to legal work that is provided to low income or indigent clients at no cost.

Tucker Arensberg is being recognized with the Organization Pro Bono Award for its work on the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership Expungement Project.  Tucker Arensberg’s attorneys and paralegals spent many hours representing individuals seeking to improve their opportunities for gainful employment by expunging criminal arrest records, summary conviction records, and juvenile records through petition to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

We are honored by this award” says Jon McAnney, Shareholder in charge of pro bono efforts.  “Pro Bono work has been a core value of the firm since its founding more than 100 years ago.  As a firm, our goal is for every attorney and paralegal to devote time and effort on pro bono work.”
